About Us
Mat-su Tennis Association is a non-profit 501c(3) community organization registered with the United States Tennis Association. As our mission statement says, we were formed to promote life-long activity through the sport of tennis. Since our start, we have been providing and promoting instructional camps for kids ages 6 - 17. We have organized and facilitated summer adult leagues, tournaments and round robins as well as family play days. We will continue to seek funding through grants and work with the city governments to improve and maintain the existing courts. Our long term goal is to expand tennis by introducing more people to the sport and to see an indoor facility built in our area.
All of our Board Members have completed training through Professional Tennis Registry and are certified PTR Associate Instructors.
At this time, we will not be asking players to purchase annual memberships. We will move to a pay per event format. We will continue to serve the community by promoting tennis events.
